Jack Cutrer, DMD
Dr. Jack Cutrer was born in Jackson, MS, where he graduated from Ridgeland High School. He attended Mississippi State University (Class of 2018) where he received his Bachelors in Accounting. He then graduated from University of Mississippi Medical Center with his Masters in Biomedical Sciences in 2019 and followed by his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2023. Dr. Jack moved to Birmingham, AL, following graduation from dental school, where he spent time practicing in Jasper, Trussville and Adamsville. He acquired Dr. Roy Smith’s practice in January 2025.
Dr. Jack is married to his wife Jordan (a nurse at Alabama Oncology) and has one dog named Nellie. The two are active members at Faith Presbyterian Church on Valleydale Rd.

Roy A. Smith, DMD
Dr. Smith was born in Birmingham where he graduated from Banks High School. He attended the United States Naval Academy (Class of 1973), the University of Alabama at Birmingham (B.S., 1976), and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry (D.M.D., 1979). Dr. Smith was asked to join the faculty of the School of Dentistry after graduation and taught there as a tenured Assistant Professor until 1987 when he moved to Vestavia Hills to open a private practice. He continues to teach a course in ethics to junior and senior dental school students at UAB. Dr. Smith is married, has three children, and three grandchildren.
